Anyone out there?

For some reason, I've fallen into a blogging slump over the last few weeks months. I really can't point to a good reason; I just haven't felt like writing. I've come to realize that I really miss the self-expression - if you can call writing about diapers and tantrums and recipes "self-expression."

So, here goes. Blogging!

First off, take a look at my new header! I mentioned something last night on Twitter about wanting a new header for my blog, and when I got up this morning, this beautiful header was sitting in my e-mail inbox! Nichole of Butterscotch Sundae made it, and I think she's awesome. I love how it looks, and somehow it's just what I wanted but didn't have the energy or skills to make. Thanks again, Nichole!

Last week I was determined to organize our linen cupboard. By the end of the day, I had organized our linen cupboard, totally rearranged our bedroom, and created an "office" for myself in our bedroom. (I think I used up all of my productivity for the month of December, which is why my house is currently frighteningly messy.) I am loving my new office! It really just consists of an old, scarred desk, with a lamp, framed pics of my sweeties, and a plant that needed a home. I envision prettying the desk up with a nice bright coat of paint (red? yellow?) and some girly drawer pulls.

I'd eventually like to figure out how to get all of my craft supplies near my desk so that I might actually use them for a change. I love to make things, all sorts of things, but all of my supplies are upstairs, so I don't mess with them very often.

When I get my office prettied up, I'll definitely share pictures. It's so nice to have a place that is just mine. Finally, a place to store my junk essentials!

Are you ready for Christmas? All of our shopping is done, with the exception of a few stocking stuffers. Our decorations are a work-in-progress, as the kids have been suffering from a virus of some sort this week. Wendy is very excited about Christmas, and David has no idea that anything is different, other than the really fun tree covered in toys that we won't let him touch.
