I wouldn't say that my home is well-decorated...unless you think Duplos and a scattering of My Little Pony shoes make for a classy home. But my home does show the personality of my family, clutter and all. One of my favorite decorations is a carved wood plaque that reads, "The Lord bless you and keep you...the Lord make His face shine upon you." It's prominently displayed above a doorway, right across from our front door, making it one of the first things you see as you enter our home.
Until recently, our master bedroom wasn't particularly inspiring. I love our quilt, and I love the color scheme, but it was missing something...until now!I was given a chance to review this beautiful My Beloved - Charcoal 4 x 6 Frame from the DaySpring Online Store! It's fresh and modern, and I absolutely love the scripture displayed on the frame. Choosing the picture to go in the frame was easy - this is one of my favorite pictures of James and I. It was taken on Christmas Day of 1999 (I think) in Tallahassee, Florida. We both look so happy; it's a great reminder that he really IS my beloved and the best friend I could imagine.
DaySpring is a wonderful company; everyone knows about their inspirational cards, but their home decor items are even better! I have my eye on several things as gifts for loved ones, but I can't post about that here in the interest of secrecy.
Like what you've heard? I have one $20 gift certificate to give away to a lucky reader (winner pays all shipping)! To enter this giveaway, simple leave a comment on this post, telling me how you show your faith in your home! Giveaway will close on Friday, May 27th, at 8 a.m. CST.
I was provided with the My Beloved 4x6 picture frame to review. All opinions are my own.

Nice!! (Love this, and now I want to go paint "this is my beloved" on my bedroom wall. =p)
I adore Dayspring, of course I'd love to win a GC. And how cool that you get to give one away! I'll tweet this out for you, too. Just because. =)
(I forgot the requisite "how do you show faith in your home?") Everywhere!! I have plaques and wall art all over the place. One in the kitchen says FAITH. One on the wall in the living room still says JESUS (from Christmas *cough*) and needs to be changed back to FAITH or GRACE or something else. I haven't decided yet.
I love this piece you received. I'm always looking for ways to incorporate scripture and artwork into my home. Love it!
I don't really have any "faith art," but I saw a few things on their site that I'd love to have!
DEFINITELY like having scripture about the house. Aside from the hand-written index cards (decorating-downer), I do have several paintings/plaques/etc with scripture verses. Easier to memorize when it's seen throughout my day!
I show faith in my home by representing it in decor and most importantly through our actions! Love it!
Thanks for stopping by my site. Twilight isn't great literature, but it is a great "escape" in my humble opinion. :)
I love that frame you posted.
I am in the process of figuring out what to do with my walls. Can you believe I have lived in my house for almost six years now and still haven't done anything but pain them? Sad. But my plan is to change that this summer, and my faith is definitely going to be displayed somehow, some way.
I love Dayspring. Our walls are covered with family photos. I hope people will see our love for each other and know there's something different...
Of course the book cases will tell them what it is ;)
When I saw this message I instantly thought, oh this is a good one! I didn't think of wall decor or table knick knacks, although those are excellent ways to show the outside world that a believer lives in this home, I thought about our daily lives and what we do to show our faith. To me its more than just a simple phase above the mantle or a plaque in my kitchen, sure that shows that I believe, but even the demons believe and tremble. I show my faith in my home by the presence of dog eared bibles, study material lain absently on a counter or floor, my son roaming the hall practicing the 66 books of the bible or his bright green "66 club" t-shirt he recieved for reciting all the books of the bible. To me our faith is displayed through weekly devotionals and the song book we recieved when we left our church that we display as if it were the most precious piece of silver but use as if it were our most beloved blanket. Yes my art in my home (like every other aspect of my life) should be a reflection of my number one priority and I love Christian art and decor, Day Spring and having scripture in the home is a wonderful way to remember whose you are, but I guess my displays are a little less "artistic". :)
